HD digital Sanyo television hooked up to a TIVO and direct TV. Occasionally there is a "rumbling" noise in the background- on recorded programs and "live" ones. The picture occasionally hiccups and then no problems for days. Is my televison, direct TV or TIVO suspect?

Sanyo HT30744 The rumbling is not in a recorded program all the time. Or live all the time. It seems to come an go for days at a time. I have only noticed the hiccup on live shows. The TIVO is at least 4 years old- one of the first Hughes for Direct TV. DIrect TV has never had a problem ...

From what you have told me I would suspect the hiccup and the rumbling are TV related. Unless the incoming signal is being fed in the TIVO and then to the TV and then I woulds suspect the TIVO. Diagnosing problems without hands on can be difficult and intermittent problems are difficult with hands on. Without testing all I can provide is an educated guess. Reply to Edward's Post: Everything is fed through the TIVO.
Thanks.
